The Valley Economic Alliance presents the 30th anniversary valley of the stars awards gala banner

NGI Teams Up With The Valley Economic Alliance

For the second year in a row, The Valley Economic Alliance has turned to Newman Grace (NGI) to design and execute the overall look, logos, and supporting material for their Valley of the Stars Awards Gala. In 2025, The Valley Economic Alliance celebrated their 30th anniversary, and this prestigious gala had to match the exuberance and elegance of this major milestone.

The Alliance’s Mission

The Valley Economic Alliance is a strategic private-public 501(c)(3) collaboration made up of governments, corporations, small businesses, educational institutions, and community organizations. Their mission is to engage and unite behind the principles, policies, and practices necessary for economic vitality and prosperity in the San Fernando Valley. Rooted in fostering economic growth, they aim to empower businesses, strengthen individuals, support scholars, help families, and create opportunities where everyone can thrive. As a firm based out of Woodland Hills, CA, we are so honored to sponsor, support, and help further The Alliance’s mission.

The Valley of the Stars Awards Gala

Each year The Alliance holds their Annual Valley of the Stars Awards Gala which features over 500 government, corporate, small business, and community leaders. This Gala celebrates the exemplary businesses, people, and organizations who positively impact the economic vitality of the Valley. Some of the honorees over the last two years include the Los Angeles Rams, Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, Fritz Coleman, Los Angeles Metro, Quincy Watts, “Weird Al” Yankovic, and many more community leaders.

Newman Grace’s Contributions

Beginning with design, we created the overall branding for The Alliance’s 30th Anniversary Gala including logo design, color schemes, graphic design elements, typography, and more. Moving on to the digital side, we aided in website design and development, social media graphics and copywriting, and email campaigns to promote the event, honorees, sell tables/tickets, and more!

The biggest part of this project was the Program Book, a gorgeous 50 page printed book including everything you needed to know about the gala. Take a look at this year’s book here! Other deliverables included stage signage, step and repeat banners, slideshow artwork, and photo booth frames. Check out Our Work to see more! Lastly, we also aided in coordinating and writing several press releases about the event and each honoree. With 64 sponsors and over 500 patrons, this year’s gala was the most successful one yet!

This project is always so rewarding for our team, not only to see everything come together so beautifully in the end, but also to support and work with such a great team at The Valley Economic Alliance. As Board Chair of The Alliance, Arminda Colmenares-Stafford, said so eloquently, “collaboration is at the heart of our success.”
